Huw will return to the Staatsoper Hamburg for his stage role debut as Gabriel Von Eisenstein.

What's happening? Two friends went to a masquerade ball. At the end of the night, Chevalier Eisenstein, also known as the Butterfly, played a prank and left the drunk Notary Dr. Falke, also known as the Bat, in the woods - the laughter of the city echoed for a long time.
What happened then? Dr. Falke invites Eisenstein, just before he has to start a prison sentence, to a lavish party: with Csárdás melodies, seductive watches, and rivers of champagne, the revenge of the Bat takes its course. Everyone pretends to be someone else and Eisenstein tries his luck with the beautiful stranger, who turns out to be his own wife...
Dawn breaks, the prison beckons, along with the tenor, the frog, and the rats. Well, hello! Welcome to the wonderful world of Viennese operetta!
